Acceptable Use Policy
Effective date: July 8, 2026 · Last updated: July 8, 2026
Draft pending final legal review — not yet in force.
Dane Suite gives you powerful outreach tools. With that comes responsibility. This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is part of our Terms of Service and sets the rules for using the service. Violations can lead to suspension or termination.
1.You're responsible for your outreach
You decide who to contact and what to send. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to contact each recipient and for complying with all laws that apply to your messaging — including anti-spam, telemarketing, privacy, and insurance-marketing rules. The relationship with your recipients is yours, not ours.
2.Email rules (CAN-SPAM and similar)
- Don't use false or misleading header information, "From" names, or subject lines.
- Identify the message as an outreach message where required, and include a valid physical postal address.
- Provide a clear, working way to opt out, and honor opt-outs promptly. Dane Suite's suppression and unsubscribe tools help — use them.
- Don't email addresses harvested unlawfully or send to people who have asked you to stop.
3.SMS & voice rules (TCPA and similar)
- Only send texts or place calls where you have the consent or other lawful basis the law requires.
- Honor opt-out keywords (e.g., STOP) and do-not-call requests immediately.
- Respect quiet hours and frequency limits that apply to your recipients.
- Identify yourself and your business in your messages.
A note on consent
SMS and automated-call rules (like the TCPA) can carry significant penalties. If you're unsure whether you have the right consent to text or call a contact, don't — confirm your basis first.
4.Prohibited content & conduct
You may not use the service to:
- Send unlawful, deceptive, fraudulent, harassing, hateful, or misleading content;
- Impersonate any person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation;
- Promote unlawful products or make insurance representations you aren't licensed or authorized to make;
- Distribute malware, phishing, or links intended to deceive or harm;
- Infringe others' intellectual-property or privacy rights;
- Upload data you don't have the right to use; or
- Send to recipients who have opted out or that you have no lawful basis to contact.
5.Platform integrity
- Don't attempt to bypass sending caps, security controls, rate limits, or tenant isolation.
- Don't probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service without our written permission, or access data that isn't yours.
- Don't overload or disrupt the service, or use it to send content that harms deliverability for other customers.
- Don't resell or provide the service to third parties except as expressly permitted by your plan.
6.Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate accounts, remove content, or throttle sending to protect recipients, other customers, and the integrity and reputation of the platform. Where practical we'll give notice, but we may act immediately for serious or ongoing violations, legal risk, or threats to the service.
